thinking clearly (life under control week 6 day 4)

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6 ESV)

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8 ESV)

"Every individual has value in the eyes of God. He is the one who gives you your personality and your gifts...God determines what gifts we have or don't have. Why then would we question the Spirit and complain or be depressed because we don't have the same gifts another may have?"

God's love is your reason to feel worthy. Not that you deserve it and not that God loves you because you are worthy, but you become worthy when he loves you.

[In the book, Life Under Control, the author talks nonsensically about changing your map. I didn't find it relevant.]
